The Maserati Quattroporte S test reported in the Sunday Times, Australia, following its international press launch

The new Maserati Quattroporte S makes the cover of the CarsGuide insert with a title that reads “Baring its fangs - Maserati with more bite”.

Inside, Neil Bowling raves about the dynamic characteristics of the Quattroporte S, defined as an “untamed stunner”.

“The V8 engine and the automatic, six-speed gearbox work together when the road narrows and becomes more curvy. There is hardly any understeer and the Quattroporte deals with the turns in a fuss-free manner. The engine, positioned behind the front axle, means that the car responds instantly to the any movement of the steering wheel”.

Bowling was also impressed by the brakes: “surprising in their potency and incredibly immune to fade”, concluded the article. “The Quattroporte S can be summed up in just one word: fast”.
